You always have to bow down,
learn it is always your mistake.
How dare you didn't say sorry
it was all your mistake and not your brother's
How dare you speak in such a loud voice
How dare you did not clean the furniture
we will not pay your fee
Go, and find a job and pay for the fee
How dare you not listen to what we say
How dare you ever ask for more
We will kick you out of the house
Go, find a place to live, we can't bear you anymore
Born as a girl is a mistake indeed,
my only job is to grow up,
get married and produce babies.
Taking care of my natal would be all I will be bound to do.
Had I been born as a boy,
things would have been nice.
My father and my grandmother would not have regretted my birth
I would have been privileged to be able to study, work and live independently.
But nowhere is safe for a girl like me
In my own country India, girls are worshipped so that families are blessed with boys.
I would be forcefully taught to cook and do chores,
while my brothers would be sent for higher studies.
Obeying every male member of my family and my natal family
would be a key rule.
A disobey will drive me to anything - a slap
But for everyone in my society
It is always the wife who provokes her husband to abuse herM
My family would never support me
In Africa, things would have been barbarous
I would have been mutilated at a small age
Baring that pain all my life
Bearing, that stinging pain while doing every and anything.
Oh almighty, please call me.
I don't want to live here
I would have loved being born a boy
Oh Almighty, I can't live in this patriarchy.
Because I am A Girl!
We should not segregate. A girl is much better than boys.
Well it's true what is written...... but the society is changing and so our the beliefs....so this shall to passs.....💙
